North Altar - Lady ChapelOne of the oldest parts of the church dated 1250 the North Altar or Lady Chapel is situated to the left of the chancel. The great north windows of this part of the church contain scenes from the life of Jesus and are considered to be some of the finest examples of stained glass windows in the country. It is a place for quiet reflection used by mothers and young children, especially at our service called "Little Angels".
Remember Mary, the Mother of Christ and all mothers. Prayer Holy Spirit we praise you for the gift of motherhood. Help us, following the example of Mary, to be obedient to your call and caring for those entrusted to us. Amen. |
